Prior to entering the seminary Completing my 30th year in Information Technology as a Software and Network Engineer
The seminary fosters a unique sense of brotherhood in a community where men from across the nation and the world have come to discern God's call. The shared struggle and mutual support creates many friendships that will last a life-time. Favorite thing I have learned while in seminary The seminary experience is about self discovery and growth, both in personality and prayer. I have learned many things about myself, including the importance of prayer as it becomes more and more a necessary part of my life. While prayer may be the most important part of my learning process, I am also astonished at the wealth contained in my philosophical, theological and scriptural studies and at the fact that the more I learn, the more I want to learn about my faith, the Church, and priestly ministries.
Having been raised a Catholic by good Catholic parents, I have always had feelings for my faith and the Church. Through most of my life I felt that I have had the stirrings of the call to a vocation in my heart. Unfortunately, these were easily ignored until a good pastor in my home parish of Holy Cross asked if I had ever considered being a priest. His counsel helped me to feel that call and found in me the courage to answer it. The happiness of just knowing that I am truly attempting to discern God's will for my life is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I would encourage anybody who thinks that God may be calling them to a different life to wait no longer and to step forward into the peace of following the call.
