Prior to entering the seminary: I was studying journalism and religious studies at the University of Missouri. My main focus was on religious journalism, and more specifically, Catholic Press. I spent a summer working for Catholic News Service in Washington D.C.

Reason for entering the seminary: After thinking about the priesthood for many years I realized through prayer that I had been running from God's call and needed to enter the seminary to discern his call deeper.

Enjoy most about the seminary: The opportunity to openly talk with fellow seminarians, especially those from our diocese, about our experiences in discerning God's call. I also enjoy the daily foundation of prayer and the Eucharist, as both are essential for discernment.
