Eric MartinHometown: Camdenton, MO

Home Parish: St. Anthony

Seminary: Conception College Seminary

Prior to entering the seminary: Before coming to the seminary I was a high school student and I was involved with my      parish through helping out with youth group and music ministry.

Reason for entering the seminary: I had always received encouragement from family, friends, and fellow parishioners to think about the priesthood.  I was quite reluctant at first to see if this is where I was being called.  After a lot of wrestling with the question, I realized that I do have many of the qualities that could make a good priest.  I also realized that my deep desire to serve others will truly be fulfilled in the priesthood.  So, here I am, at the seminary, discerning where God is calling me.  I know I am here because God wants me to discover a deeper relationship with Him, and through that, quite possibly discover a call to the priesthood.

Enjoy most about the seminary:I really enjoy the community life and the brotherhood between all of the guys.  I also enjoy all of the opportunities that I have to grow spiritually.  It is such a gift to have every day dedicated to learning about God and how I can best serve Him.

Favorite thing Learned while in the seminary:My favorite thing that I have learned and am still learning is how to become the person that God wills me to be.
